Long Distance - Home Study Course

Finally! After numerous requests and several years of hard work, we have devised a method of advancement for the long distance student that doesn't have the luxury of having a Modern Farang Mu Sul® instructor or school in the nearby vicinity. The answer is the Long Distance - Home Study Course.

This is a program designed to help both the novice as well as the experienced martial artist. You don't need tons of experience, because everyone has to start somewhere. By the same token, if you do have previous experience, all you need is the right attitude, and you can use that previous knowledge to move up through the levels just as quick as you are able. No matter the skill level, you must possess commitment and dedication. With perseverance comes results. The one thing that we must all keep in mind, is quality. You do not want to be just handed anything. Particularly, if it is something that may someday save your life. That is the bottom line with this knowledge...self improvement and self defense.

To this end, we provide a combination of thoroughly explained basic written manuals, fully illustrated and the accompanying DVD videos. Here we provide detailed explanations of all of the rank requirements for each level, from the beginner fundamentals all the way to black belt / black sash and beyond to the master levels. So far we have had great success with this program, helping students from all around the world. We have even had a few that have gone on to become instructors and have received the necessary sanctions and started their own Modern Farang Mu Sul® program in their area. This is a Win-Win scenario!

This is how it works:

First you must have clear initial goals and dedication. Studying long distance requires perseverance and a good plan. Take each level step by step.

- You will need to become a member of our organization IDSC (info)

- Then start acquiring the necessary DVDs and Written Manuals for each level, starting with the first level. (FMS Training Aids info)

- Once you have sufficiently assimilated that level where you feel confident in your command of the material, you will need to connect with us, either via webcam service (such as Skype or FB Messenger) or video tape yourself demonstrating the test requirements for that level and submit it to us with your test fee of $35 (US funds), and training passport, here at World HQ in Santa Rosa. It will be carefully reviewed and we will give you feedback. Once it is decided that you show good command of the given level, your training passport will be updated, stamped, and you will receive the certificate and belt for that particular level.

- Now you will be eligible to move on to the next level. If for some reason it is determined that you need more work on any particular area, you will be given advice on what to work on. You will not need to re-test, simply demonstrate the improvement of the area(s) discussed.

And so on. We are here to help you to succeed, and are always only an Skype or Messenger call, e-mail or phone call away for any questions, concerns or advise you may need. As we said, so far we have had great success with our Long Distance Training Program. This is a great opportunity to learn this awesome martial art. So take advantage. Don't put off your goals.
