March, 2003

Hello everyone,

There is a saying "Nothing is Constant, Other than Change Itself". This is so true. The good thing is that it forces us to adapt in order to move ahead. And adapt we have. There have been many changes in the last few months, and I'm sure that there will always be more.

For starters, we moved the date for our annual trip to the European FMS schools from April to the end of May and the first two weeks of June. Master Wachsmann, Sifu Sejoscha "Joshi" Agiri and the German FMS students are planning a huge multi-discipline week end seminar, as well as several other events. This seminar is aptly named: "CROSSFIGHTING SEMINAR", and should be awesome. We are also planning to include stops in Spain and Portugal where Inst. Pinto is coordinating a couple of seminars.

Speaking of Inst. Pinto, once again, he has kept very busy teaching and networking with many martial arts groups. He and students recently took part in a very large seminar in Lisbon, Portugal sponsored by Professor Charlie Lenz who is well known for his skill in Jiujitsu, Kobudo, Kyokushin Kai Karate and Judo. What a great opportunity.

In other news, Insts A. Spataro, J. Spataro and Hudson from NY, are in the process of ordering a new shipment of our system patches for our uniform. They are beautiful patches, so if any FMS Instructors want to pick some up, this would be a good time, as we will receive a much better price by ordering a larger quantity.

Along those lines, we have finally identified a source to produce our instructors formal dress "Topo" right here in San Francisco. They are beautifully made and are of the highest quality. We will be able to get them in all Dan Rank colors. Contact us at WHQ for more details and ordering information.

We were very fortunate to have some great training lately. We had several FMS Instructors stop in and visit, so we took advantage and did some Black Sash requirements review, as well as special weapons training (Archery, Folding Knife, Stick and Knife, etc.). This had the feel of our upcoming Black Sash Summit, but only a mini version of it. I can't wait for the official event to arrive on May 17th.

Lastly, for all those that have not checked out our new products, we are happy to announce that we now have available a new line of several great training weapons. To see more go to: TRAINING WEAPONS

Well, that's all for now. With brotherhood,

Kuk Sa – De Alba
